#GOLFIS a challenge for many college golfers, especially when golf courses are not on or right around campus. I know when I was a student at the University of Dayton, the closest course with reasonable rates was a 20 minute commute from campus, making it a challenge to find other college golfers and the time to drive out to practice or play. When I was a freshman and didn’t have a car, it was impossible to keep my game up, making it frustrating when I finally did have the opportunity to golf and my scores lacked consistency. To keep my game fresh, I got involved with club golf on campus and eventually registered the first official club golf team at UD. By finding other students who had a passion for golf, it allowed me to build a network on campus, which allowed me to overcome the challenge of not having a course nearby.
