What're your plans during your trip to the Greatest College Golf Experience at Nationals in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina?
If your plans are to head down Friday evening, stay and play, and leave Sunday evening, then you my friend are missing out on an experience of a lifetime. In this week's edition of Austin's Angle, we're going to go over a few key components to making the most of your Nationals experience.
First things first, make sure you have your travel plans all mapped out. Whether you are traveling as a team or as an individual--heck, even if you and/or your team is on the "Nationals Bubble"--make sure you have made driving or flight arrangements. For those of you who are unsure if a trip to Myrtle is in the foreseeable future, don't hesitate to book a flight just to be on the safe side.
If you're feeling extra frisky--or just flat out rebellious by skipping classes--and want to head down on Wednesday or Thursday, be sure to make reservations at a nearby hotel. One thing to note: we will be updating you as to whether or not Barefoot Resort will be allocating rooms for players traveling down early. A great website to visit for all of your travel accommodations is expedia.com or priceline.com (that being if you're a fan of William Shatner or Haley Cuoco).
While it is important that you bring your A-game with you to Nationals, it is also important that you enjoy the Myrtle Beach experience. The temperature during the middle of November tends to average out at a luxurious 70 degrees. There's a cornucopia of dining, shopping, and nightlife attractions that the area has to offer:
Broadway at the Beach
Broadway at the Beach is fun-filled travel destination and is the largest entertainment venue of its kind in the state. There you will find a putt-putt course (for all you practice junkies), a movie theater, Ripley's Aquarium, food on food on food, and more shops than you could imagine. Not to mention, there are several events going on that weekend that may peak your interest:

A healthy combination of dining, entertainment, shopping, and nightlife has provided the Dillard family with many majestic evenings on the wake of Myrtle Beach intercoastal waterway. Not to mention, you cannot pass up stopping by Dick's Last Resort Restaurant & Bar! One event that may peak your interest at The House of Blues:
Saturday 11/16: House of Blues 20th Anniversary Presents Third Eye Blind with special guests Gentlemen Hall
As a golfer, I'm sure you get the same itch that I do when I am at the beach: to play mini golf! If that's the case, don't be a stranger to one--or four--of Myrtle Beach's Best Putt-Putt courses.
During the NCCGA's most enticing and entertaining Nationals stops, there's an endless list of things to do. If there is anything I left off that you would like to share, post a comment below and tell us why we should indulge in the activity with you!
