Michigan Club Golf Headed Back to Nationals

The Midwest Region had an excellent finish to the last regional tournament of the 2015 NCCGA season with a tight battle between Ferris State University, the University of Michigan, and Michigan State University. Although the tournament was short sided with one day completely canceled due to weather, the Midwest Region still played some great golf.

The University of Michigan club golf did indeed prevail as the top leader in the region winning the tournament with a solid one-day total of 374. Ferris State came in at second with a great score of 378, but was a tad short on overtaking Michigan. Michigan State University came shortly behind the other two teams, but still put up some great rounds finishing with 395.

The University of Michigan and Ferris State University was now tied in points at the end of both regional tournaments. As a result team totals were taken into account where the University of Michigan had come out on top. Michigan will now have the bid to club golf Nationals in Texas in this fall and will be hoping to bring back the title to the Midwest Region.
