OGIO on the City Tour this Summer

When I was in elementary school I had serious backpack envy. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed my kickass purple Eastpack backpack with a total of two pockets (a large main one and a small one on the front) I always wanted more pockets and monogramming. When I was finally old enough to pick out my own backpacks the main requirements were ergonomics and pockets. Lots of functional pockets. Padded pockets. Lined valuable pockets. Pockets large and small. Pockets for water bottles. You name it, it needed to have its own pocket.

Enter the OGIO Tribune backpack. For the past few years I’ve been using a laptop messenger when schlepping my computer to and from work. Being pretty skeptical of replacing my go-to bag, I gave the OGIO bag I received from Nextgengolf a trial run for a few days over the past couple weeks.

Thankfully, the OGIO has performed like a champ. Some of my favorite features that I use on a daily basis include the padded interior laptop compartment; zippered fleece-lined top valuables pocket; the large main compartment for binders and files; padded back panel with air mesh for moisture wicking; and large grab handle. I especially appreciate the padded back panel during my semi-long walks to/from my car and office.

Overall, I think I’m a convert and my messenger bag is going to be relegated to special occasions. The OGIO Tribune has handled all that I’ve thrown in it with ease and I look forward to it being my main backpack going forward. At least until I see a fellow Nextgengolfer with a newer, cooler OGIO pack with even more pockets and pouches. Then my backpack envy will resume just like elementary school.
