The NCCGA is happy to announce the Central Washington Club Golf Team and LSU's Cody Maxwell have been named the NCCGA Team and Player of the Week, respectively.
Central Washington won their first NCCGA tournament by holding off the Vandals from Idaho and the charging Eagles from Eastern Washington on a rough second day. As a team they shot 799 and won the tournament by 3 strokes.
Cody Maxwell posted scores of 71-74 en route to an 11-stroke victory in the individual tournament in the Gulf Region. Maxwell played his first 19 holes of the tournament under par and looked to finish that way, but a seven on the final hole brought him to 2-over on the tournament.
