The Midwest Region Takes the Tee With Snow Gone

With the snow just melted, the eyes of the midwest are already staring toward Sussex County, New Jersey, for the 2014 spring nationals at Ballyowen.

The spring season will see some new faces in the Midwest, along with the loss of many familiar teams after the formation of the new Ohio Valley Region. The region will open play at Eagle Eye in Bath, MI, after regional 1 initially scheduled for March 29-30 was postponed due to snow. Unfortunately, due to the snow and other conflicts, the tournament field will only include four teams: Michigan State University, Ferris State University, HIllsdale College. Most notably, the field will not feature defending regional and national champions, The University of Michigan. Michigan will not be competing this spring due to academic schedule conflicts.

After winning it all at Barefoot in the Fall, Michigan won't be able to defend their title.
