Fall 2017 Great Lakes Region NCCGA Tournament

A rare weekend on the great temperature for the Great Lakes region. This first regional was odd to see players not dressed for below freezing weather. This tournament showed a strong showing of new teams to the NCCGA. After leading DePaul by just 1 after day one, University of Illinois edged out the blue demons by 17 shots, and their own B team by 24 strokes! A strong performance by the Fighting Illini in their debut. Day 1 was led by Northern Illinois' Dan Kallianis firing the tournament low of 68. Dan finished second overall (68-78) behind tournament leader Judson Bro from Bradley. Judson fired an impressive -2 after the two day event, with an impressive -2 in 20mph wind (71,69).
