Tournament Report
The story of the second Indiana Regional of the Fall 2016 NCCGA season was the course. The course was tough, tight, and most importantly brand new. As the competitors convened at Purdue's completely redesigned (by Pete Dye) Ackerman Allen Course, they realized that Mr. Dye had set up a grueling test. Scores rose from the prior regional, and the home team Purdue was able to come out victorious. As a result, Purdue and Indiana tied for the regional championship, but after a total aggregate tiebreaker across both regional tournaments, Indiana was crowned regional champion by a mere 2 strokes. Congrats to the Hoosiers as they will head to Disney to compete for the Fall 2016 National Championship. Amid the drama, Notre Dame's Andrew Stineman posted an impressive +4 148 en route to individual medalist honors. With another Indiana season in the books, all the club golfers of America's Crossroads will be looking forward to the Spring season.
The NCCGA hosted our 2nd golf tournament of the season in Indiana Region at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on Oct 22, 2016. Team Purdue University won the division with a combined score of 762. The low individual score was recorded by Andrew Stineman shooting a score of 148.
