Fall 2016 Southwest Region NCCGA Tournament

The weather fluctuated between mid 70 degree heat and light rainfall. Los Robles Greens Golf Course was in great condition, combining soft and putt-friendly greens, with challenging angles on approach shots. UCLA proved to be victorious shooting 52 over par as a team over both days. Golf Academy of America-Carlsbad was a close second, shooting 69 over par as a team. Tournament Medalist, Claire Malley from UCLA, shot 1 under par over both days. Malley posted a 65 on the second day, 5 under par, coming close to the course record of 63. Freshman Joe Lyon from USC was a close second, shooting 1 over par over both days. This was our first tournament of the season but it seems that UCLA has set the pace for their drive to get a trip to Florida.
