The Central Region was formed in the Spring of 2013 by Bill Donovan from the University of Missouri. The founding members of the Central Region included the University of Missouri, Southeast Missouri State, and St. Louis University. After initially containing some teams which are now apart of the Great Lakes Region, the Central Region is now made up of schools that are located in the central part of the United States. The Central Region is looking to add more schools over the next semesters to make it one of the bigger regions in the NCCGA. The Central Region is also home to newly elected NCCGA President Chase Russell from Iowa State University
